About the Leather: This thick brown Panerai strap is made 100% by hand and hand stitched it as with all of my straps. This is a chrome tanned leather with a rugged top side and distressed edges. In addition, this leather features a soft temper. The monster thickness of this strap combined with the softest possible temper make this strap ideal for all PAM cases 44mm or larger. Further, this strap features a soft crease around the edges. Observe the amazing contrast between top and sides of this strap, awesome!
For this thick brown Panerai strap, I utilized thick beige thread hand-stitched into a boxed pattern. This strap design features one fixed and one floating keeper. This is a new design, with the fold relocated to the buckle side. An extra line of stitching reinforces the buckle area. Additionally, this strap ships by default with a vintage style pin buckle, sewn in place (pictured). The sample strap in the photos above measures 130mm/80mm for your reference. As usual, I can make it in any size that you prefer. Above you may view the strap pictured on the Panerai Luminor Base PAM00775. Being of soft temper, this strap will conform to your wrist within a very short period of time. Furthermore, this strap will soon develop a well-worn feel and appearance. Finally, the neutral tones of this strap make it a great match for nearly any dial and case combo.

Additional Information: The 44mm Panerai Luminor is the true workhorse of the Panerai lineup, and by far has the most potential for aftermarket strap creation. While larger 47mm case models demand thicker straps, the 44mm Luminor case is more flexible and works with a variety of different strap thicknesses. With that in mind, I make most of my 44mm case Panerai straps with thinner thread. When I select the thread and spacing, I take into consideration the thickness and temper of the leather.
Most of my 24mm custom straps for 44mm Panerai models utilize a vintage Panerai style pin buckle. However, you will find that many straps in this section also have additional buckle options. My general design philosophy for 24mm straps is dual keepers of generous width, box stitching, and a thickness or 3.5 to 5.5mm depending on leather temper.
Finally, all of my 24mm Panerai straps for 44mm cases are 24/24mm, without a taper. The only tapered straps that I make are for Radiomir cases. Further, my design preferences for the 44mm Panerai case tend towards longer buckle sides and shorter bottom sides. Above all, the aim is to achieve as much balance as possible. Additionally, the stitching margins will be thinner on my 24mm Panerai straps than they are on my 47mm Panerai straps.
I pride myself in each aftermarket Panerai strap that I produce and perform the entire process by hand without templates or machines of any sort. I use the absolute basic tools, the same tools that I used as a boot maker for nearly two decades. In conclusion, as a result of the handmade nature of these straps, no two are identical.
