About the Leather: This incredibly soft tan Panerai strap is 100% hand made and hand stitched, as with all of my straps. For this project, I selected an American oil tanned leather of soft and pliable temper. This leather has a light sandy tan color tone that perfectly compliments military style watches. This soft strap immediately conforms to the wrist and provides a level of comfort beyond even the OEM strap. Due to it’s oil tanning, this strap has a slight shine to the surface that will only improve with time and wear. I selected a beige thread for the stitching on this strap. Small buckle pin holes are a unique design element to this strap. In addition, the edges of this strap feature a soft crease.
This strap features an OEM style thickness. I designed this trap with one floating keeper and one fixed. Furthermore, the neutral tone of this soft tan Panerai strap make it a perfect match for basically any dial and indication color combination. Above you can see the strap pictured beside the PAM00775 Luminor Base 44mm. This strap ships by default with a flat GPF style pin buckle that is sewn in place (pictured). Additionally, you may select from a variety of other buckle options using the “buckle style” drop down menu above.
**As with all straps on my site, this strap is available with a “no buckle” option. If you wish to use your OEM buckle, please select “No Buckle” from the buckle drop down menu.
Measurements: This strap is 24/24, with a thickness of ~3.4mm.

Additional Information: The 44mm Panerai Luminor is the true workhorse of the Panerai lineup, and by far has the most potential for aftermarket strap creation. While larger 47mm case models demand thicker straps, the 44mm Luminor case is more flexible and works with a variety of different strap thicknesses. With that in mind, I make most of my 44mm case Panerai straps with thinner thread. When I select the thread and spacing, I take into consideration the thickness and temper of the leather.
Most of my 24mm custom straps for 44mm Panerai models utilize a vintage Panerai style pin buckle. However, you will find that many straps in this section also have additional buckle options. My general design philosophy for 24mm straps is dual keepers of generous width, box stitching, and a thickness or 3.5 to 5.5mm depending on leather temper.
Finally, all of my 24mm Panerai straps for 44mm cases are 24/24mm, without a taper. The only tapered straps that I make are for Radiomir cases. Further, my design preferences for the 44mm Panerai case tend towards longer buckle sides and shorter bottom sides. Above all, the aim is to achieve as much balance as possible. Additionally, the stitching margins will be thinner on my 24mm Panerai straps than they are on my 47mm Panerai straps.
I pride myself in each aftermarket Panerai strap that I produce and perform the entire process by hand without templates or machines of any sort. I use the absolute basic tools, the same tools that I used as a boot maker for nearly two decades. In conclusion, as a result of the handmade nature of these straps, no two are identical.
