Description
About the Leather:Â Â *Limited to 5-10 pieces due to scarcity of leather. Step into a new world with 27/24 width on your Radiomir! This strap is 2mm wider than your OEM strap at the buckle, giving the strap a more substantial appearance. I meticulously handcrafted this exceptionally supple and pliable burgundy Radiomir strap, ensuring meticulous hand stitching, a hallmark of all my creations. In sourcing materials for this strap, I scoured for a soft vegetable-tanned leather in the ideal burgundy hue. The selected leather boasts a uniform color and a subtly pebbled top surface, exuding a luxurious appeal. Notably, its almost gummy texture promises a snug fit around the wrist, enhancing comfort remarkably.
The resulting strap epitomizes comfort, further accentuated by tight stitching and a subtle crease along the edges. Incorporating one floating keeper and one fixed, this design balances functionality with elegance seamlessly.
Included with this strap is a black flat GPF-style stainless steel pin buckle with engravings by default, as pictured above. Alternatively, one can opt for additional buckle options like OEM-style trapezoidal or DLC-coated black buckles from the dropdown menu. Additionally, to contrast the strap’s burgundy tone I opted for an ivory cream thread.
This thoughtfully chosen leather and thread color combination offers wearers unmatched versatility in pairing with various case and dial combinations. Finally, customization options abound, allowing you to tailor the strap to your exact preferences.
Shown in the images above is this burgundy Radiomir strap adorning the classic Panerai Radiomir Black Seal PAM00292 ceramic, providing a visual reference for its appearance. (*The strap in the photos measures 130-80 for size comparison.)

Additional Information: For each Panerai watch, I have a different design philosophy when it comes to making straps. The Radiomir is my historical favorite among all Panerai cases. I bought my first Radiomir nearly two decades ago and did not start making straps for them until many years later when I neared retirement. The Radiomir is a fun and challenging case to make custom straps for.Â
On larger Panerai cases in the 47mm range, I tend to use thicker thread with wider spacing. For the Radiomir I employ a mixture of both thicker and thinner threads, and both tight and wide spacing. When determining the thread thickness and spacing I take into account the characteristics of the leather. As a general rule, I tend to make my custom aftermarket Radiomir straps in thicknesses ranging from 3.5 to 5.0mm. The average thickness will be somewhere in the middle.
Due to the wire lugs of the typical Panerai Radiomir case, I tend to lean towards leathers of a slightly softer and more pliable temper. From a design perspective, I tend to utilize a taper of 27-22 or 26-22 depending on the leather. If you have a larger 47mm Radiomir case, like a PAM323, I highly recommend going with straps of 4.5mm thickness or above. I have even designed some custom aftermarket Radiomir straps specifically for the 47mm Radiomir cases that have a bolstered taper where the strap meets the case.
Please do not hesitate to contact me prior to the purchase of your custom Panerai Radiomir strap. I would be happy to guide you on your journey towards the best bespoke strap for your individual needs. I pride myself in all aftermarket Panerai straps that I produce. In addition, I complete the entire process by hand without templates or machines of any sort. Futhermore, I use the absolute basic tools, the same tools that I used as a boot maker for nearly two decades. Finally, as a result of the hand made nature of these straps, no two are identical.
