Description
About the Leather: *Available in limited quantities of 5-10 pieces. I partnered with a tannery in Italy to develop this soft, vegetable-tanned leather to my precise specifications. This leather has the ideal thickness and temper for a Radiomir strap. Additionally, it boasts a lustrous emerald green color with a semi-gloss finish. The stitching is done by hand with beige thread for contrast and features a hand-stitched boxed pattern. The strap is designed with one floating keeper and one fixed keeper and it has clean, hand burnished edges.
A unique congruent length design has been implemented for this project. When measured end to end, both parts of the strap are exactly the same length. This design results in no “tail” sticking out from the keeper when on the wrist. If you’d like congruent length measurements as pictured, please select “custom size” from the size drop down menu and we can discuss the sizing details. Furthermore, unlike other straps, this green Radiomir strap features a unique rounded tip.
Additionally, there are two buckle options available for this strap. The buckle design features softer edges and curves than the OEM strap, matching the rounded design concept of this strap. The sample strap in the photos above measures 105/85 excluding the buckle. As usual, I can make it in any size that you prefer. In the pictures, you can see this distinctive jade green Radiomir strap on the Panerai PAM00992 Radiomir 8 Days. Finally, this green Radiomir strap brings a fresh look to all Panerai Radiomir dials.
Measurements: This strap is 27/22, with a thickness of ~3.2mm.

Additional Information: For each Panerai watch, I have a different design philosophy when it comes to making straps. The Radiomir is my historical favorite among all Panerai cases. I bought my first Radiomir nearly two decades ago and did not start making straps for them until many years later when I neared retirement. The Radiomir is a fun and challenging case to make custom straps for.
On larger Panerai cases in the 47mm range, I tend to use thicker thread with wider spacing. For the Radiomir I employ a mixture of both thicker and thinner threads, and both tight and wide spacing. When determining the thread thickness and spacing I take into account the characteristics of the leather. As a general rule, I tend to make my custom aftermarket Radiomir straps in thicknesses ranging from 3.5 to 5.0mm. The average thickness will be somewhere in the middle.
Due to the wire lugs of the typical Panerai Radiomir case, I tend to lean towards leathers of a slightly softer and more pliable temper. From a design perspective, I tend to utilize a taper of 27-22 or 26-22 depending on the leather. If you have a larger 47mm Radiomir case, like a PAM323, I highly recommend going with straps of 4.5mm thickness or above. I have even designed some custom aftermarket Radiomir straps specifically for the 47mm Radiomir cases that have a bolstered taper where the strap meets the case.
Please do not hesitate to contact me prior to the purchase of your custom Panerai Radiomir strap. I would be happy to guide you on your journey towards the best bespoke strap for your individual needs. I pride myself in all aftermarket Panerai straps that I produce. In addition, I complete the entire process by hand without templates or machines of any sort. Futhermore, I use the absolute basic tools, the same tools that I used as a boot maker for nearly two decades. Finally, as a result of the hand made nature of these straps, no two are identical.
