Panerai Luminor 44mm Strap 24/24 “Emerald City” Limited

About the Leather:  *Limited to 5-10 pieces. I collaborated with a tannery in Italy to create this soft emerald green vegetable tanned leather to my exact specs.  This leather is the perfect thickness and temper for a 44mm case strap.  Furthermore, this strap features a lustrous green color with a semi-gloss finish.  For the stitching, I utilized black thread to match the included black buckle.  Hand stitching was done in a boxed pattern.  I designed this emerald green Panerai strap with one floating keeper and one fixed.  Additionally, this strap has a soft crease along the edges.

This emerald green strap ships by default with a gloss black PVD coated stainless steel buckle, which can be removed in favor of your OEM buckle if you so choose.  Additional buckle options are available from the drop down menu.  Buckles may also be customized with engravings on a consultation basis (no charge).  Finally, this green Panerai strap provides a breath of fresh air for all colors of Panerai dials, and it looks especially good on titanium cases.  *The strap in the sample photos measures 125/80 for reference.

Measurements:  This strap is 24/24, with a thickness of ~3mm.

Additional Information:  The 44mm Panerai Luminor is the true workhorse of the Panerai lineup, and by far has the most potential for aftermarket strap creation.  While larger 47mm case models demand thicker straps, the 44mm Luminor case is more flexible and works with a variety of different strap thicknesses.  With that in mind, I make most of my 44mm case Panerai straps with thinner thread.  When I select the thread and spacing, I take into consideration the thickness and temper of the leather.

Most of my 24mm custom straps for 44mm Panerai models utilize a vintage Panerai style pin buckle. However, you will find that many straps in this section also have additional buckle options in the drop down menus above.  My general design philosophy for 24mm straps is dual keepers of generous width, box stitching, and a thickness or 3.5 to 5.5mm depending on leather temper.

Finally, all of my 24mm Panerai straps for 44mm cases are 24/24mm, without a taper.  The only tapered straps that I make are for Radiomir cases.  My design preferences for the 44mm Panerai case tend towards longer buckle sides and shorter bottom sides. Above all, the aim is to achieve as much balance as possible.  Additionally, the stitching margins will be thinner on my 24mm Panerai straps than they are on my 47mm Panerai straps.

I pride myself in each aftermarket Panerai strap that I produce and perform the entire process by hand without templates or machines of any sort.  I use the absolute basic tools, the same tools that I used as a boot maker for nearly two decades.  In conclusion, as a result of the handmade nature of these straps, no two are identical.
