Panerai Luminor 44mm Strap 24/24 “Honey Butter Remix”

About the Leather:  *Limited to 5-10 pieces. A perfect match for 44mm Luminor Cases.  As soon as I obtained this leather from the tannery, it was discontinued.  This is a shame, because this leather is quite possibly the best light tan leather that I’ve found for making straps.  This chrome tanned, buttery toned leather is the perfect thickness and temper to match a 44mm Panerai case.  The leather features a consistent color throughout.  The temper is soft so the strap will wear comfortably on your wrist all day long.  For the stitching, I utilized a classic medium thickness beige thread.  Hand stitching on this honey butter tan Panerai strap was completed in a boxed pattern.  I designed this strap with one floating keeper and one fixed with an extra line of stitching at the buckle end.

This strap ships by default with a flat GPF style brushed stainless steel pin buckle, sewn in place as pictured above.  Additional buckle options are available from the drop down menu.  The design of this strap features circular pin buckle holes.  Pictured above, you may see this awesome honey butter strap on the Panerai PAM00632 Luminor Marina.  Finally, this honey butter tan Panerai strap matches all colors of Panerai dials.  The strap in the photos above measures 125/80.  *Buckles may also be customized with engravings on a consultation basis at no extra charge.

Additional Information:  The 44mm Panerai Luminor is the true workhorse of the Panerai lineup, and by far has the most potential for aftermarket strap creation.  While larger 47mm case models demand thicker straps, the 44mm Luminor case is more flexible and works with a variety of different strap thicknesses.  With that in mind, I make most of my 44mm case Panerai straps with thinner thread.  Furthermore, when I select the thread and spacing, I take into consideration the thickness and temper of the leather.

Most of my 24mm custom straps for 44mm Panerai models utilize a vintage Panerai style pin buckle. However, you will find that many straps in this section also have additional buckle options in the drop down menus above.  My general design philosophy for 24mm straps is dual keepers of generous width, box stitching, and a thickness or 3.5 to 5.5mm depending on leather temper.

Finally, all of my 24mm Panerai straps for 44mm cases are 24/24mm, without a taper.  The only tapered straps that I make are for Radiomir cases.  My design preferences for the 44mm Panerai case tend towards longer buckle sides and shorter bottom sides. Above all, the aim is to achieve as much balance as possible.  Additionally, the stitching margins will be thinner on my 24mm Panerai straps than they are on my 47mm Panerai straps.

I pride myself in each aftermarket Panerai strap that I produce and perform the entire process by hand without templates or machines of any sort.  In addition, I use the absolute basic tools, the same tools that I used as a boot maker for nearly two decades.  In conclusion, as a result of the handmade nature of these straps, no two are identical.
