About the Leather: I handcrafted this seal leather Panerai strap with 100% authentic seal skin. Seal leather is soft, light weight and waterproof in addition to being sturdy and flexible. Seal leather is a popular choice for gloves, clothing and hats in areas of the world with large seal populations. I designed this seal leather Panerai strap with a width of 24mmx24mm. This strap features two floating keepers, with a PVD black razor style vintage buckle that is sewn in place. In addition, you may see further buckle options in the drop down menu. This seal leather Panerai strap features black hand-stitching in a boxed pattern. The edges of this seal skin strap feature a soft crease. The sides are lightly burnished.
Pictured above you may see this black seal leather Panerai strap with the PAM00775 Luminor Base. For those of you with Ceramica or other black cased Panerai models, this is the ideal strap for you! Furthermore, thanks to the all black concept of this strap, it can be matched to a wide variety of Panerai dials and cases. This leather is fairly scarce and costly, so a limited number of straps will be produced. Finally, the strap pictured above measures 125/80 for your reference. This strap ships with the above buckle by default.
**As with all straps on my site, this strap is available with a “no buckle” option that allows you to use your OEM buckle. If you wish to use your OEM buckle, please select “No Buckle” from the buckle drop down menu.

Additional Information: The 44mm Panerai Luminor is the true workhorse of the Panerai lineup, and by far has the most potential for aftermarket strap creation. While larger 47mm case models demand thicker straps, the 44mm Luminor case is more flexible and works with a variety of different strap thicknesses. With that in mind, I make most of my 44mm case Panerai straps with thinner thread. When I select the thread and spacing, I take into consideration the thickness and temper of the leather.
Most of my 24mm custom straps for 44mm Panerai models utilize a vintage Panerai style pin buckle. However, you will find that many straps in this section also have additional buckle options in the drop down menus above. My general design philosophy for 24mm straps is dual keepers of generous width, box stitching, and a thickness or 3.5 to 5.5mm depending on leather temper.
Finally, all of my 24mm Panerai straps for 44mm cases are 24/24mm, without a taper. The only tapered straps that I make are for Radiomir cases. My design preferences for the 44mm Panerai case tend towards longer buckle sides and shorter bottom sides. Above all, the aim is to achieve as much balance as possible. Additionally, the stitching margins will be thinner on my 24mm Panerai straps than they are on my 47mm Panerai straps.
I pride myself in each aftermarket Panerai strap that I produce and perform the entire process by hand without templates or machines of any sort. I use the absolute basic tools, the same tools that I used as a boot maker for nearly two decades. In conclusion, as a result of the handmade nature of these straps, no two are identical.
