Panerai Luminor Due Strap for 42mm “Phantasm” Soft

Description

About the Leather:  I created this ghost white Luminor Due strap 100% by hand and hand stitched it, as with all of my straps. For this project, I selected a light weight chrome tanned leather with a very soft temper and a consistent finish.  This ultra soft Panerai Luminor Due strap wears very comfortably on the wrist. The exterior has been hand coated with pliable latex sealant and mildly distressed to create a vintage look. The ghost white latex coating is quite durable and will show minor signs of wear in key areas over time, lending the strap even more character.  The inner is cream tan in color. I utilized beige thread for a subtle but visible contrast and as the sole color point on the strap.

I designed this strap with a box stitched pattern and two keepers; one fixed and one floating.  In addition, I have left the edges of the strap unfinished and mildly distressed. This strap ships by default with a polished stainless steel as pictured buckle.  Furthermore, thanks to the all white theme, this strap is a great match for all dial colors. Pictured above, you may see this carefully handmade strap on the Panerai Luminor Due 42mm PAM00906.   It is a welcomed addition for anyone looking to add a novel color to their strap collection.

Measurements:  This strap is 22/22, with a thickness of ~5mm.

Additional Information:

The 38mm, 42mm and 45mm Luminor Due series are the latest entries in the Panerai catalog. As with all Panerai cases, I take into consideration many elements of the watch before making a custom strap for it. With regard to the Due models, you will notice that my website features only straps for the 42mm models which have a 22mm lug width. I can happily make straps for your 38mm or 45mm Luminor Due model as well.

If you have a 45mm Luminor Due model, please check the 24mm strap section. When I make straps for the Luminor Due series, I take into consideration the much thinner case, and utilize leather of a lower thickness. This thinner leather sometimes allows for straps of a more rigid temper.

A variety of buckles may also be used on the 22mm straps, so you may see more than one buckle option on the drop down menus for various Panerai Luminor Due straps. Another unique feature that many of my custom Panerai Luminor Due straps utilize is quick release spring bars. Quick release bars work especially well on straps of a more firm temper. Quick release spring bars allow you to change straps with no tools and thus no chance of scratching the case. The slim and modern Due case lends itself to a wide variety of leathers that thicker cased Panerai models cannot pull off.
